ODES / CODES

Mostly a solo banjo record with two solo guitar tracks and a solo piano piece, Odes / Codes explores the banjo’s depth and warmth and its pianistic similarity. It’s an example of a new way of thinking for the banjo and how it fits in non-bluegrass music.

Max and Otto were among a stellar lineup of musicians on Warren Leming's project, "A Rich Man's War and a Poor Man's Fight: Songs and Tunes Inspired by the American Civil War.” There is stunning physical CD of this project with a 24 page booklet of history, essays, lyrics and graphics. Let me know if you want one for your very own.
